How far away is the train station from the international airport in Madrid ?Should I stay overnight in the city or closer to the station? My flight comes in at 9am and I would continue with the train to Malaga. But only if the train station not too far away. Can someone answer that?
Madrid airport is served by the Madrid suburban trains (Cercanías):

https://www.renfe.com/es/es/cercanias/cercanias-madrid/mapas
MAD airport has 2 Terminals-only the new (mostly for INTern flites) is on the RENFE Cerc. train. Free shuttlebus in between the 2. BOTH terminals are on the urban metro (tickets from airpt 5€, not included in pass) and either train or metro serves/can bring you to all major stations in MAD. The AVE=hispeed trenes to MLG run about ev 2 hrs from Chamartin and all must be reserved-you can in theory do that already at the tiny ´assistencia clientes´ in the MAD airport stop of RENFE.
Cerc. take about 25-30 mins to Cham, AVE about 3 hrs to MLG. So can easy do that same day!
When arr. in MLG at the big estacion=shopping centre, can same day even also use local cercanias tren to Torremolinos-Fuengirola (major seaside sunny destinations for holidaying Europeans)
