I’m desperately trying to get a train to paris for next week then down to bezziers i need to travel on wednsday 14th there are littereally no trains avaialble. it’s a total waste of money paying so much for my intreail ticket and i cant get where i want ? any one help. i’ve tried reserving through https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass#Outbound and still nothing!!
From London I presume? I’ll look if I find something (assuming you’re a single traveller with a 2nd class pass). Eurostar trains have an annoying passholder quota and it does sell out days or weeks in advance in summer, esp. before a holiday.
I’ll update below. Option 1:
- Eurostar London St. Pancras - Paris-Nord 14:31 - 17:48 30€
- RER D across Paris: 10 min journey so you’ve got enough time. The Navigo card with 2 loaded tickets is available onboard Eurostar but you could also use your phone.
- TGV Paris Gare de Lyon - Béziers 18:56 - 23:03 20€
Also possible to board the night train (20€ couchette). Only the departure day counts so you’d still use the same pass day.
Option 2:
- Eurostar London St. Pancras - Lille-Europe 09:01 - 11:26 30€
- TGV
This avoids the change in Paris so it’s really good.
Feel free to ask anything.
from Amsterdam we got eurostar ok to amsterdam but can’t find any trains from amsterdam to paris at all say this
2 of us travelling bot have interail
Hello
You could try to book a train to Lille instead Paris.
Edit: Sorry, I didn’t see that you had already got an answer.
Alright this changes things as there are reservation-free options instead of the annoying Eurostar. Don’t worry, you’ll have dozens of options. It’ll only be a little slower.
Please always give all the necessary details!
Option 1 from Amsterdam then:
- IC Amsterdam Centraal - Antwerpen-Centraal 08:25 - 10:16
- IC Antwerpen-Centraal - Kortrijk - Lille-Flandres 10:36 - 12:51
- little walk and break for lunch
- TGV Lille-Europe - Lyon Part-Dieu 14:03 - 17:00 10€
- TGV Lyon Part-Dieu - Béziers 18:10 - 20:47 20€
Convenient as it avoids the station change in Paris. :)
Option 2 to save an hour but I don’t really like it:
- IC Amsterdam Centraal - Bruxelles-Midi 09:25 - 12:17
- TGV Bruxelles-Midi - Lille-Europe 12:52 - 13:54 20€
- a new unit is coupled in Lille → change to that one (enough time)
- TGV Lille-Europe - Lyon Part-Dieu 14:03 - 17:00 10€
- TGV Lyon Part-Dieu - Béziers 18:10 - 20:47 20€
Option 3:
- IC Amsterdam Centraal - Antwerpen-Centraal 09:25 - 11:16
- IC Antwerpen-Centraal - Kortrijk - Lille-Flandres 11:36 - 13:51
- TGV Lille-Flandres - Paris-Nord 14:42 - 15:44 10€
- RER D across Paris
- TGV Paris Gare de Lyon - Béziers 16:56 - 21:02 20€
There are other options but I’ve suggested the best ones (in my opinion). Feel free to ask anything.
thankyou will wait for option 2
Since you’re not departing from London, I’ve rather updated the comment above your last one. There are (at least) 3 options to choose from, don’t worry you’ll make it to Béziers. :)
thankyou for these. ill take a look in the morning when my head is clearer ! much appreaciated
Alright no worries, have a good evening. All the trains I mentioned don’t have quota → passholder fares are available until regular tickets sell out (if they do). No rush but I’d still decide tomorrow. :)
hi again and thank ou for your help so far ive managed to now resrve tickets as far as beziers
however im now struggling to add the journey from amsterdam to antwerp on my mobile pass !
when i search trains it show the 8.28 with no reservation fee but when i try to add the jouney onto the app the the 8.28 is no longer there!
any idea how i overcome this as i understand we have to list all journeys on the mobile pass
Weird... I see the train on my Rail Planner app (although a 08:28 departure while it's scheduled at 08:25).
Could you update the app maybe? Otherwise try to add via Noorderkempen.
There's always the option to add a train manually -> box in the page's bottom when you look for a connection.
(Anvers-Central and Antwerpen-Centraal give the same results)
thank you ill try that
