I have a global pass and would like to take the bergensbanen from Bergen to Oslo in Norway. Do I need to make a reservation in advance or can I just hop on the train?

Hello! The best way to check this is to use the reservation tool! You will be shown if a reservation is required and how much it costs.
Book your reservations (eurail.com)
What is more, you can apply several preference filters by ticking the boxes below.

Yes, ALL trains long distance in No now need to be reserved=other as in the manual/site says (was optional till short time ago-when they started to privatise/contract out the lines). Can dop on the fone via Entur-or if you spend a few days in NO anyway-at the very few remaining counters in big cities for 2-3 days ahead.
BTW-I just also read the metro free newsppr from BE and it showed this line in todays item about 10 best traintrips in the world (of which 4 are in EU and doable by the pass)
