I’m trying to reserve a seat for the bus going from Triest to Villach Hbf. However, when I go to the oebb.at website to reserve a seat, it says ‘ticket unavailable’. Is it possible that there is another way to make this reservation?

With this manual you should get there :)
Price should be 9€ per seat on the bus.

Yes this works! Thanks! It was however 10 euros for every person but this was not a problem. Without a global pass it is 10,90 euros. I thought the ÖBB busses where included in the global pass, so I expected the discount to be a bit higher.
+11They are included in the Global Pass, you pay a fee only for the Italian Part the same like for the trains Venice-Villach-Vienna. The bus on this route has often saver-price wich is often about 10-12€. A Normal Ticket costs much more.
