Hi all,
I was wondering if I could preemptively change trains if I knew I would miss my connection with the train my ticket is booked for.
I.e. change before the stop I'm suppose to change or even take an earlier train.
I'm asking because I can do that on German/Swiss trains, even if I'm supposed to take a specific train, but don't know wether the same applies to interrail.

If you are sure you will miss your connection because of delays and you already know the train you would like to take next, you can add it on the App and activate the QR code for that specific journey. Remember to do this always before boarding the train, otherwise, the QR code will not be able to be activated, and you may be fined.
If you train experienced a delay of 60 minutes or more during your Interrail trip, you may be eligible for monetary compensation for the inconvenience caused. Read more about this under this link: Delay Compensation (interrail.eu)
