Hi guys!

We wanted to start on August 20 from Munich Hbf. to Paris Est, but seat reservation is only possible from France (Strasbourg). For the train from Munich, the message "It looks like parts of this journey can't be booked with us even though they require reservations." always appears. However, the train can also not be reserved via Deutsche Bahn, neither online nor at the counter. So do you not need a reservation for the TGV for the German section of the route?

Thanks for your help!

Which train exactly? The direct Munich - Paris TGV at 6:46?

yes exactly! (TGV 9576)

DB should be able to book this… unless there are planned engineering works not yet in the planner and seat reservations are not open yet. But then there's usually a warning in the DB Reiseauskunft and I don’t see any.

You can also call SNCF. Press #85 for English, no booking fees, reservations are sent via e-mail.

Okay, thank you very much! Then I’ll try my luck again at the DB counter!
