Hello,
I am trying to book a seat for Sargan to Ljubljana (night train) but it doesn’t work. It is written that seat reservation are only given in paper so I’ll to take it a the station but it is not really comfortable to me. Does anyone has already taken this train and succeed to reserve a seat in advance?
I would really appreciate some help.

Yes there are better alternatives to book those night trains (and any train in Austria, Italy and other countries) :

Add Eurail/Interrail as a discount and select one-way tickets. Do not leave it to the day for night trains, they usually sell out days in advance
