After buying your mobile Pass, I can see that you have up to 11 months to activate it to start travelling, however, can you make reservations before then? I want to make reservations now for a month’s trip in August. Is that possible?

sure, if you have a pass there, then you can buy a reservation.
Please note that reservations are not only available via Interrail.eu but also via Ticket Office or website of the train operator.
