Can I go twice on the same journey if it is not my country of residence? (e.g. Paris - Zurich)?

Sure you can. You can travel anywhere you like, as often as you like, as long as it's not in your country of residence.

Hint_yes, you can do it x times if you have a pass for x days!

You can cut the extra cost-we tell it so often here-by only booking a RES for INland TGV-as far as Mulhouse, then change to regional other train without any RES. For over the border it cost 3-4x as much as the cheapest 10€ if you are lucky to get in the quota for that train set by SNCF. It will take maybe 30 mins longer and have to change 2 times.
