Do you now is it possibile to "improve" my reservation for the Trenitalia INI774 from Roma Termini to Trieste Centrale? I have already booked a 5€ seat, but I would change it with a "Couchette" seat (43€).
I have already tried on the “reservation overview” section, but it doesn’t work.

Seat reservations without any surcharge are normally not exchangeable and not refundable, the only exception I know is the ÖBB (Austrian Railways). Trenitalia refunds only tickets with a price of more as 10 €.
You should buy a new reservation for couchettes.
