On 7 August i will take the EN40414 from Ljubljana to Villach, where i have to change for my next leg to Italy. Here i have the choice to take the NJ1295 to Bologne or the NJ233 to Milano.

EN40414 arrival: 23.48

NJ1295 departure: 0.55

NJ233 departure: 1.34

I was wondering if i would make the transit in 1 hour or if I'm more safe to take the train to Milan. I have no preference, because later i'll go to Rome. Has anyone tips for this transit? And how punctual are these trains?

You could go from Ljubljana to Trieste by direct train and from Trieste with a Nighttrain to Rome :)

I won't make that connection sadly. I want to visit Ljubljana for the afternoon and leave in the evening, so going via Villach is my only choice. And going with frecciarossa from Milano or Bologne is no problem.
