Changing seat reservations due to Gotthard Tunnel closure

I booked a journey for my family from Milan to Paris just before the closure of the Gotthard Tunnel. We had to buy seat reservations for Milan-Basel and for Strasbourg-Paris. I’m now concerned that we will be delayed on the way to Basel and won’t be able to make our SNCF train from Strasbourg-Paris.

I would like to change our Strasbourg-Paris train to a later one so that we don’t stress about making the connection or changing tickets on the day, but SNCF doesn’t seem to allow seat reservation changes. Does anyone know how we might be able to make a seat reservation change in advance of the journey? Thanks!

Which train are you planning to take ? The ones via Lugano will take an hour longer so plan accordingly but the ones via Brig run as usual.

Where did you book the seat reservations ? On interrail.eu ? If that's the case I'd contact customer support first : https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/requests/new

Thank you, this is very helpful! We are indeed going via Lugano. I couldn’t work out how to contact customer support for interrail.eu, so I’m grateful for the link and I have just sent them a message. Fingers crossed!
