Evening all!
I was planning to travel from Laufenberg to Friedrichshafen on sunday the 25th August, They just got a notification about a timetable change and now it can’t find an alternative connection. Should I wait a few days and see if it fixes itself or is it better to pursue other routes? Or is it due to engineering works?

Do you mean Laufenburg (twin town in DE and CH)?
Due to works from 10th to 25th August trains are replaced by buses between Waldshut/Tiengen and Erzingen. Maybe these were already mentioned when you first looked at the route idk -> otherwise that could be it.
Use DB Navigator for planning. Expect longer travel times.
