I want to travel from austria to germany today, but it isn't possible since 2 weeks to make a reservation.
So my plan is to cross the border without any reservation. Do you think that will work?

What route and time do you want to travel? If you are lucky, you just have to pay the reservation onboard. Otherwise you get a fine or having to leave the train.
You could also take any regional train Kufstein/Salzburg - Munich.

I'm on the train from Vienna to Regensburg. It'll depart at 13:13. I'll ask the guard if it's possible to stay in the train instead of switching to regional trains.
