My girlfriend and I are planning an Interrail trip to the UK this summer. We would like to take the Eurostar from Paris to London on 28 June. We have not yet bought an Interrail pass as we are still hoping for a discount. So we have not yet been able to book seats on the Eurostar.

Now we are not sure how long we can wait, i.e. how quickly do Eurostar seats usually sell out? I am happy to hear any tips and experiences :)

You shouldn't leave it late to book but you've still got time. However you don't necessarily need a pass in the first place to book seats, have a look at this link : https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

Reservations are tied to your name and not a pass number.

There might be a spring sale in the coming weeks. I'd wait a bit.

Thanks for the answer and the very useful page! However, I can only find the information there that a passport number is required for the Eurostar booking, regardless of which option is used: https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-passes-on-eurostar.htm

You can use any pass number (like I1111111), at least on B-Europe. But as I said don't worry and wait a few days, there might be a sale coming!

Not anymore.

We booked our passes and Eurostar seats straight after yesterday's announcement of the Spring Sale, so everything is settled :)
