Dear Community members,

We have one travel day left in Eurail pass and last day of our trip - 14th of November - we are planning we spend in Disneyland. I am looking on the option to spend our last travel day for travelling from Marne la Valle to Airport Charles de Gaulle but seat reservation is quite expensive, it is showing to me around 80euros for 4 of us. Our flight is scheduled for 11AM. Is seat reservation is really required if the travel time is only 10 minutes? Can we enter the train with Eurail ticket without seat reservation?

It doesn't make any sense to use a pass day for (just) this journey. To buy a ticket for this trip is cheaper than the reservation because the cheaper 10 € per person Eurail reservations for the morning trains are already gone (so you'd have to pay 20 € per person).

You are not allowed to go by TGV without the mandatory reservation / just with your pass.

BtW: You'd get a private shuttle to the airport for about the same price.

If you travel by TGV you need a reservation. Doesn't matter if it's 10 minutes or 5 hours, unfortunately.

You might find it cheaper to buy a ticket, or take an Uber!
