I think that the trip from Bucharest to Istanbul in May should count as one interrail day as there is a through sleeper from Dimitrovgrad to Halkali.
My problem is that the Interrail app is coming up as two separate journeys on two separate days:
Dimitrovdrad - Kapikule 22.50-00.45 on Saturday
Kapikule - Halkali 2.30-6.34 on Sunday
How do I avoid using two days of my 5 day pass?

It is one day of your pass! I think you need to enter the journey manually.

Hi, I am doing this exact journey at the end of this month. Did you buy seat reservations prior to doing the journey or just turn up on the day? I don’t want to be in a situation where the sleeper train is fully booked. Any advice would be appreciated. I have followed the seat 61 website, but it is not clear on there what to do with an interrail pass.
