Hi all, 

I am beginner of Eurail Global Pass,

  1. Now i just worry about that if I cannot reach the time to join the reservation train. How can I do, join the next train? or refund first then order the next target train?
  2. Due to the missing the train, then some trains are follow the schedule will also affected, in this case, how should I do?
  3. Some route is shown diffence location and said transfer by transport, such as
  4. 13:12 MILANO P.GARIBALDI (Italy)  0h 20m Transfer by public transport 13:43 MILANO CENTRALE (Italy)
  5. So this case I need to get off from one side then move to other location to take other train?
  6. Some route is shown Change trains Short transfer 4min. Normally, is it should enough time to take the next?

1/ In this situation you can contact a ticket office and obtain a new free reservation for the next available train. If the reservation is exchangeable, you can also try to get a new one in advance in your smartphone app, but it depends of the country (it is possible in Italy with the Trenitalia app).

If reservations are not mandatory, you can take the next available train only with your Eurail Pass.

2/ same as 1/

3/ Your pass don’t include the local transportation. In this case, you must go to another station of the city with the metro and you have to buy a ticket. In Milano you can open the gates with your credit card and avoid the queues in front of the vending machines.

6/ Short transfers are only possible if the trains are on time. I would avoid such short transfers and take a later train, especially if you are not familiar with the station or if you have heavy luggage. It depends also of the size of the station, you have usually no problem in small ones.
