Hello. Newby here. I read a lot of negative reports about using the pass on trains that need reservations, but on trains without reservations, can I just rock up to the station and go? Surely there cant be Eurail quotas on these trains. Can I just show my mobile pass to the ticker checker?

That's basically how it works. You do have to add the train you're using to your pass but that can be done within a few seconds.
