I’m planning to travel from Prague to Budapest next month via night train and have made a reservation for a sleeper cabin.

I’ve got my paper ticket through the post and it says ‘Gentleman T3’ for the cabin - I’m a female traveller and I read online that sleeper cabins were all female or all male? Does anyone know if this is meant to be the case and my ticket is a mistake?

Thanks!

Hey, yeah, couchette can be mixed (but usually there is also the option “female only”. Sleeper on the other hand is usually separate men/women… So you are now booked in a compartment with 2 guys likely… if you don’t mind it shouldn’t be a problem and if there is a free space in a female compartment, maybe you can change (talk to the conductor).

Thanks! I’ll get in touch with the railway company :)
