Hi,

We have been successfully travelling the Rail network of mainland Europe for a few weeks now and largely very smoothly indeed.

However, we need to now book a seat reservation from Girona to Lyon and the only option we can get on any website is for them to be posted to our home address. This is no use as we are in northern Italy and live in Manchester!

Has anyone come across this before or have any ideas as to how we can get around this problem.

Thanks in advance.

For Girona to Lyon, call SNCF. Press #85 for English, no booking fees, reservations are sent via e-mail.

It's usually not needed to print the reservations. Only for night trains it's a good idea to do that.

Fabulous - thanks as ever for the prompt and useful reply. Been on hold for ages but will report the outcome asap.

Many thanks again.

All done!! 20 odd minutes listening to music on hold but got through to a lovely French lady who spoke perfect English and rattled off the reservations.

Thank you so much for helping with this as we were going round in circles before - it really is appreciated.
