Hello hive mind!

I want to book a reservation for the TGV 9240 from Milano Porta Garibaldi to Chambéry-Challes-les-Eaux. When checking the pricing for the reservation at https://www.eurail.com/, a price of about 120$ is shown. For this price, I would be able to buy 2 normal tickets including a reservation. Why is the price so high? And does anyone have a recommendation for a cheaper option?

This train is very expensive. It's clearly a prohibitive price. They don't want passholders.

Solution: go via Brig and Genf - much cheaper and a scenic route (100 minutes longer).
