I am intending to purchase the Berlin to Krakow train on 14/4/24 when it becomes available.

What is the procedure for reserving the seat before so as not to miss a seat x2. Being a newcomer to the Eurail Pass system I understand that I need to activate the pass on the day but it is how to go about doing the seat reservation that I am still not clear on. Thanks in anticipation for your reply and clarification.

This train cannot be booked online due to the old Polish booking system or something.

Simply get reservations at any counter in Germany when you arrive in the country (4€).

Seat reservations are a totally different system and process than passes themselves. They're not tied to a pass but to your name. Have a look at this general guide : https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm
