Hello,
I'm about to go on my first trip to Europe with an interrail pass. Before I even set off, the first problem has already appeared.


I booked a seat on the TGV from Munich to Paris for Wednesday the 21st. Booked on raileurope.com The train was supposed to leave at 8:35, so that's what I have on my reservation, but I got an email from SNCF saying that the departure time had been changed to 8:20 and that the ticket would be automatically updated.


If I have a seat reservation where the departure time is 8:35, will that reservation still be valid after the change in departure time, or do I have to re-book the seat for the new time?
A minor problem is that I can no longer book seats on that 8:20 train online via raileurope.
What can I do now? Anyone can help me?

No problem, your seat reservation is valid with the new departure time. In the TGV, seat reservations are always included and it means that the ticket and the seat reservation will be updated. I suppose that the train number remains the same. 


OK. Thank you. I'll hope they let me sit in that seat. It is the same train number.

If last minute changes like this are the norm in western Europe, I wonder if I will ever return back to Czech. :)

In Germany, you have only 2/3 of the long-distance trains who are on time.

For example, I have two reservations for September and both have already changed, I had connections in the main station, but one train stops now in another station of the city. Perhaps the DB offers teleportation as in the Star Trek franchise.

And I don’t speak about last minute changes.
