Hello,
I am wanting to reserve the night train from Sofia to Istanbul but the reservation service says it is unavailable for the whole month of July. Does anyone know why this is?

Because the booking system can´t reserve this train.
The best way to reserve this trains is at a ticket office in Bulgaria 
Usually there are quite a lot places still free few days in advance.
