I’m just considering buying an Interrail for me and my son for a 10-day trip from the UK into France and Spain. Last time I had an Interrail was 30 years ago - all paper-based, and very very few reservation fees!
If we want a train journey with a connection (for example Granada to San Sebastian, which has at least 1 and maybe 2 or 3 connections) - do you have to make and pay for a reservation for every single ‘leg’ of the journey? For a journey with 2 connections, that would be E10 + E2 Interrail reservation fee on the app.. x 2 ‘legs’ = E24 just for reservations, per person? Is that correct?
I have even read that you can’t actually book reservations on the Interrail app for Spanish trains, is that correct? So how would you do it - only in person at the station? It all sounds like a nightmare, possibly not worth it!!
Thanks for any info!
