Eng: Good morning interrail community. My group of friends and I will travel with the 7-day pass. Our doubt centers on the last day of travel (the seventh) as we are not aware if there is a route that connects Milan - Bari (and which is covered by interrail). Does anyone know if a train from Milan to Bari is available? And if so, does Interrail cover the trip?

Thank you so much. Are there any other options not including a fee?

Not really.

The Frecciarossa takes ~7h. You can take slower regional trains with no reservation, but it will take ~20h to do the same journey. Not possible in one day.

There is an option to go by Intercity. This takes ~10h, and only costs €3 if you take the direct train.

Yes, Interrail covers this trip. You’d need to pay a €13 reservation fee to travel on the Frecciarossa.

You can make the reservation with ÖBB or Raileurope. Add your railpass when searching.
