Train from Prague Hlavni Nadrazi to Budapest-Nyugati is modified

Badge

Hello!

The train from Prague Hlavni Nadrazi to Budapest-Nyugati on July 11, 2022 at 10:56, has been modified. Apparently some traintracks in Hungary cannot be used and part of the route has been replaced with a bus service. Our train is 279 and therefore it is affected by this modification. We reserve a seat on the train, do you have to reserve a seat for the bus or is it already included? Is there something to do or nothing to worry about? Apart from having the seat reserved, we also have the train reserved with the interrail pass.

Hey,

no, you don’t need a reservation for the bus (and actually also not for the train - it is not mandatory).
Just take the train and follow the instructions on board when you change from train to replacement bus. If they don’t make announcement in English, just ask fellow passengers or follow them when everyone is leaving the train.

Some trenes are rerouted-some by VOLan repl. bus. There has been a landslide along the Dunav a few weeks ago.

As RES is not needed (except for the overnight) you can also go via Wien (Vienna) then hourly RJ/EC to Bp-then you follow altern route
