Hi,

I am trying to book a train using Eurail app , from Levanto to Interlaken on 23 June. However, only one train appearing at 17.30. Which takes  24 hours to reach Interlaken ! The kids will be crazy by then .

Will there be more trains times released soon as we are eager to  reserve seats?

The same journey on 9 June shows up many more trains only taking 5 hours??

Thank you

Kim

  1. Italian summer timetables have not been published yet. That will probably take another month or so. the first place where the Italian timetables will be published is www.trenitalia.com. To get an idea of the possibilities, indeed look up the journey on the same day of the week, but before 11 June.
  2. The rail planner app and Eurail website should not be used to plan. They don't have updates often enough to be reliable. It's better to use national websites and apps. For international travel the DB and SBB websites are good.
  3. The rail planner app cannot book any reservations. It can only forward to some of the website where you can book. Reservations for long distance trains in Italy or from Italy to Switzerland are best booked on tickets.oebb.at. Reservations within Switzerland are not necessary.
