Travelling from Florence to Brindisi - can only find slow regional trains

Hi

I’m trying to travel from Florence to Brindisi in September but can only see the timetable for slower regional trains taking 20 hours +. I know I can do the journey on a fast train in around 7 hours. Are these trains not available to me on my pass, even with a paid for reservation? Or do I need to book this journey directly?

Many thanks

Annette

Hey,

the timetable for September might not yet be fully published. Best to check on trenitalia Website and not on the interrail app… interrail app is often not up-to-date…

You can use the fast ones with a reservation (10 euro, IC 3 euro). The slower ones you can just hop on whenever you want.

Reservations you can book on Austrian railways website (without additional fee) or via interrail website (2 euro extra fee).

The timetable is not online. You have to wait. On trenitalia.com will come the new timetable out first in a few weeks to one month.

I’ve now managed to reserve my place on the fast train. Thanks again for the advice given earlier.
