Hello,

I have one day left on an Interrail Europe pass. I would like to use it to travel from Cork to Belfast and back on the same day.

from my reading on this forum it seems that tit is acceptable to use inbound/outbound on the one travel day. However I cannot add these trips to my journey or even find them on the planner - is this normal ?

Just a followup on this:

On the trains Cork - Dublin - Cork my pass wasn’t checked at all (Iarnrod Eireann)

Dublin  Belfast - not checked (Iarnrod Eireann / Translink joint service)

Belfast - Dublin - vague visual check in Belfast Central.

I took suburban Translink services and my pass my checked three times: on two of those occasions an error popped up about decrypting the barcode and I was asked did I have a paper ticket, on the other occasion there wasn’t an error and I had a short conversation about how the ticket checker didn’t come across as many Interrail passes as before (this was on the train to Larne Harbour)..

The suburban trips were manually added to the planner.

If you are getting the Enterprise service between Dublin/Belfast make sure to reserve as it’s a busy train.

Thanks very much. That worked perfectly for me. I can’t believe I didn’t think to split the search considering I did it for my all recent journeys abroad :(

If you have an inbound/outbound left, then that works.

The trains Belfast-Dublin and Cork-Dublin are in my app. You'll probably need to add them separately because the app doesn't seem to find a sensible transfer in Dublin, from Heuston to Connolly station.

If you don't find the trains, then check for app updates.
