Traffic stop Vassijaure
There has been a traffic stop in Vassijaure since December due to another operator derailing at the site. This has meant that it has not been possible to operate the route Abisko Östra-Narvik by train. The restoration work has dragged on. The Swedish Transport Administration's latest forecast is that the track will not open for passenger traffic on the section Abisko Östra/Björkliden-Narvik until the last week of May. There will be a limited range of traffic on the stretch Abisko Östra/Björkliden-Narvik during the mentioned period. We have a recurring dialogue with the Swedish Transport Administration about the condition of the track and update if the information changes.
