Hi all,

This is my first time going to Europe and I’ve never purchased a eurail pass before. I will be in Europe for one month. I need to travel to Paris from Spain for 4 days, from Spain to Rome for 4 days, then to Florence 4 days, Positano 4 days, and back to Rome where I fly home. Is it better to buy a Global pass or a 10 day in 2 months pass? Any advice you can give would be helpful.

Annette

Basically you need to compare regular tickets vs Eurail Global Pass + seat reservations. They’ll be a significant part of your budget in France, Spain and Italy (the most reservation-heavy countries). Have a look at these 2 links :

A Eurail Global Pass comes in multiple versions : 10 days in 2 months pass is one of them.

Note that Spain - Rome is impossible in a day, you’ll have to sleep somewhere along the way : Nice would be a good choice. Also possible to take the overnight Barcelona- Civitavecchia ferry (or to fly of course).

Make the calculations and do not hesitate to come back for further questions.
