Stuttgart nach Split Kroatien

Hallo an alle,

 

ich bin völlig überfordert mit der Reiseplanung von Stuttgart nach Split (Kroatien). Ich verstehe nicht welchen Pass ich benötige. Wir wollen am 30.12.23 von Stuttgart aus los und am 06.01.24 von Split aus wieder zurück nach Stuttgart.

Da ich noch NIE mit dem Zug eine Reise gemacht habe und mich da wirklich überhaupt nicht auskenne was ich da jetzt genau benötige, hoffe ich auf eure Hilfe. wir sind 2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind (12 Jahre9 und 1 Kind (10 Jahre). 

 

Was muss ich buchen!! Vielen lieben Dank schon im Voraus

Schau doch mal die Verbindung nach (bspw auf bahn.de), die Du gerne nehmen würdest. Kannst sie ja gerne mit uns teilen. Aber grundsätzlich: Wenn Du nur hin und zurück willst, dürfte der kürzeste Global Pass (4d in 1M) genügen. Wenn Du (internationale) Nachtzüge nutzt können noch fette Reservationsgebühren anfallen, womit es sich lohnt, auch Spartickets als Alternative zu checken.

There’s a direct sleeper train from Stuttgart to Zagreb, then an Intercity to Split. It will take around 24-25 hours, with a few hours wait in Zagreb in both directions. You could get a compartment for four people on the sleeper.

I’m surprised to see that there is still availability on the sleeper, so if you want it I would book ASAP!

You would need a 4 day in 1 month Global Pass if you use a railpass (although you will only use 3 days). You can also consider paying cash for the tickets instead of a pass.

You can search prices for Stuttgart-Zagreb on ÖBB. Search for ‘One way tickets and day tickets’. Try it once to find the price for regular tickets, and then try it again with ‘Interrail Pass’ as a discount, to see what it would cost with a railpass.

For Zagreb-Split, you would need a reservation (available from Zagreb station) which costs ~€4pp if you’re using a railpass. Or if you want to buy tickets, you can get them from https://www.hzpp.hr

The 9-year-old child is eligible for a free Interrail pass. The 12-year old is eligible for a Youth price.

They will both need to pay for reservations, even if the railpass is free.

A regular ticket (Sparschiene) through ÖBB only costs 190€ for a whole compartment for your family. I'd book it ASAP and not use a pass. Croatian train tickets are very cheap.

I'm also surprised there's still availability !

220€ for the same night train back from Zagreb to Stuttgart.

56€ for Zagreb - Split (hzpp.hr)

Total : 190€ + 220€ + 2 x 56€ = 522€ for 4 people including 2 night trains. This is definitely cheaper than passes + reservations.
