Eurail Discounts on cog wheel trains in Switzerland

I have a 10 day Global Pass and I will be in Switzerland in September There are some trains that are not covered by the Eurail Pass. They do offer discounts on some trips however. My question is If you use your pass to get a discount does that count as a day of your travel days ?  Thanks

An active pass is day is not required.

As long as your pass is within it’s overall validity you just need to show it at the ticket office to get the discount
