Hi everyone!

I have a question about German Rail Pass. I am living in Germany for a month with a short-term visa.

I would like to travel around Germany during Christmas. Is it valid for me to buy a German Rail Pass ticket? I checked on the website saying that it is only valid for people with residence outside of Germany?

Thanks for any help in advance!

A short term visa of a month, doesn’t make you a resident of Germany.

So it’s possible to get a German rail pass, even a very good idea. Enjoy your travels!

Thanks! Even if I have already lived in Germany for more than 1 month, I can still buy the German Rail Pass because I am officially not a resident of Germany. Is that correct?

Yes as long as you travel with your Chinese (or another) passport you're fine.

You are not considered a resident of Germany for the pass and you have a non-EU passport anyway so all good.

Cool. I see. Thanks a lot!

Make sure you order a Eurail pass ( for non-Europeans). Interrail is for European residents.
