Hi, I have 3 days left to my global pass.

Tomorrow April 30th, I will be traveling Venice - Rome, May 1st Rome - Milan (on the way I will stop at Florence, Verona),

May 2nd Milan - Zurich (via Tirano, Chur Bernia Express)

May 4th Zurich - Paris (I already reserved the seats)

so in theory I have 4 days of travel left with 3 days of the pass. All Italy rides needs a seat reservation per Eurail.. So would it be better just to get the Venice - Rome separately without using the global pass? Or what other option would you suggest?

Last-minute tickets are gonna be very expensive: expect to pay at least 100€ per person for the day you can't use the pass.

Now compare fares on trenitalia.com and italotreno.it and decide.

Yes the 13€ passholder reservations will quickly add up. Consider taking a regional train between Verona and Milan, it doesn't take much longer.

You have to check which of the journeys that have the cheapest normal ticket. I would guess that one of the domestic Italian journeys would be best to buy separately.
