Mit dem Nachtzug nach Hause fahren / Travel home with a nighttrain

Liebe Community,

ich hab eine Frage bzgl. meiner geplanten Interrail-Reise/meinem Pass:

Wenn ich an meinem letzten Reisetag mit einem Nachtzug nach Deutschland nach Hause fahre und dabei nicht den Zug wechseln muss (also letztlich vor 0 Uhr in meinen Nachtzug einsteige und dann einfach weiterfahre): 

Benötige ich mehr als einen Reisetag (= den Abreisetag)?

Das FAQ hat mich mit verschiedenen Kapiteln etwas verwirrt, wobei die erste Antwort dort und der Interrail-Chatbot aussagen, dass man genau einen Reisetag benötigt.

Konkret geht es um die Fahrt von Budapest nach Ulm, die in Budapest bereits vor 0 Uhr startet, allerdings erst nach 0 Uhr in Ulm ankommt.

Dear Community,

I have a question regarding my planned Interrail trip/my pass:

If I take a night train home to Germany on my last day of travel, and I don't have to change trains (so ultimately I get on my night train before 0am and then just keep going): 
Do I need more than one travel day (= the departure day)?

The FAQ with its different sections has me a bit confused, with the first answer there and the Interrail chatbot stating that you need exactly one travel day.

Specifically, I'm talking about the trip from Budapest to Ulm, which starts in Budapest before 0am, but arrives in Ulm after 0am.
