My sister and I are wanting to go to London on August 5. Can we still go? We have first class global pass. Do we just reserve a seat? What if the strike cancels our train?

Brussels Midi. Does it matter that we have First class global passes or do we get charged for a reserved seat?
There is not a strike taking place on 5 Aug, there is an overtime withdrawal by train drivers at some companies, this will cause some cancellations but should not prevent most journeys being possible.
