Hello I have a rather simple question for the comunity please.   

This concerns using my eurail pass on swiss trains. I haven’t activated nor used my global eurail pass yet, and wish to know when I book a particular train time if I am committed to travel on that actual train, or, if I can travel on any train that same day?   

I see from the sbb app that if I pay for a journey with a credit card, the ticket is valid on any train on the same route until 0500 the following day. 

What I need to know if this Is rule also applys when using my global eurail pass?

You need to take the exact train you logged. However you can alter your itinerary at any point.

You added the 09:02 and wish to take the 09:32? Delete the 09:02 and add the 09:32. :)

The only thing that cannot be changed is the pass day. Once it started (at midnight) not possible to change it anymore.

Personally I always add the train 2 min or so before boarding.

A travel day is between 00.00 and 23.59 CET.
