The latest possible start date is always 11 months after purchase date (except when stated differently), so the pass you've bought must be activated on or before 1/11/2025. The validity period then runs from that date. If that doesn't work for you, then ask for a refund (no refund fee if you do that within 7 days) and buy another pass later. The current sale runs until 17/12.

It means you can start your travel from the moment you bought it, until 1/11/2025. You cannot start (=activate the pass) later than 1/11/2025.

You can start tomorrow or in three months or in six months or in ten months. Doesn’t matter.

If you buy a pass on 17/12/2024, then the latest possible start date is 17/11/2025. So that's when the validity period will start. You will be able to travel on 4/12/2025. More importantly however, you should check when the validity period will end (which depends on the pass you buy) and whether that fits with your travel plans.
