Hello, We are traveling from Tirano to Chur with the eurail pass on a panoramic train without a reservation, hopeful to use the carriages that do not require reservations. Does anyone know how many carriages a regional train has? Perhaps slightly paranoid but how do we make sure we get a seat on a train without reserving the seats?

They have plenty of seats for the numbers travelling in most cases, it is only the reservation Bernina Express train carriages that generally fill up.
Put your train number into this website and you can get a very detailed consist for trains from many operators including RhB.
