I saw an offer for an interrail ticket on another website, they couldn't go themselves and are selling their ticket for a discount. They told me that their name will be on the ticket but when I activate the ticket, I can place my own information on it and won't have any troubles with it.
Is that true? Can you change the information on the ticket?

It is not possible to buy an Interrail pass from someone else. The pass is personal and you can't change the name and birth information that the person who bought the pass enterred.
The only thing that you enter when you add the pass to your app is your passport number/the number of your national ID.
