My friend and I are travelling together for a month in Europe. However, she lives in Australia and I live in the UK so we both need different passes. Will this effect the way we travel, as in will we still be able to sit by each other on the trains and so on, or will it be ok to have two different passes?

Sure you can travel together. The only limitation will be that your Interrail will only give you 2 travel days to use in the UK.

Reservations are totally separate from the passes. Wherever you book them, as long as you book them together, you will be seated together.
