If I have a pass with 5 travel days, do the first train ride out of my home country and the last train ride back to my home country count? Would I have to use 2 of the 5 travel days for them?
I’d be so thankful for any help, somehow I can’t find this info on the official website anymore :)

yes, they do count. So you have to use traveldays for them..
To make the most of your traveldays, you could try to start from your country in the morning and try to catch some nighttrain in the evening… then you need just one travel day, but can get quite far with it ;-)
