Hello together!

I want to make a trip with Interrail in the summer and want to take the Global Pass with 7 travel days. One question I have is how the trains are regulated to get to the foreign country and to get back to the home country at the end. Do I have to use one for the outward journey and one for the return journey of the seven travel days or are they extra? So then seven travel days plus two extra for the trip abroad and in the home country.

Thank you!

You don't get extra travel days for the inbound and outbound journeys. On a maximum of 2 of your travel days, you can also travel in your country of residence.

@Nanja, this is asked so often that I think this should be mentioned explicitly on pages like this one and this one.
