Hi,

I live in the UK and am intending to catch the Harwich-Hoek van Holland ferry. The night ferries are full on the days I want to travel so I intend to stay overnight in Harwich and catch the day ferry instead. Is that permitted? There would be no UK train travel on the second day, but equally I wouldn’t actually be leaving the UK on my “outward” day - just travelling to the port.

You can use both the “outbound” and “inbound” days whenever you like during the validity of your pass.

Totally fine and using the boat does not require a pass day.

- DAY 1 : travel to Harwich, night there = pass day

- DAY 2 : daytime ferry with 30% discount = no pass day used

What 30% discount?

EDIT: Ok - I hadn’t even realised there was a 30% discount. This makes it even better value!
