Hai i’m william from indonesia want ask some question for coverage global pass. I using 15D consecutive eurail Global pass.

We need tips for route and included or no the global pass.

we start from :

  1. Amsterdam - Paris (do you have tips for the route if we dont want pay the reservation seat?)
  2. Paris - Thun,Switzerland (it is included or no for the train using global pass?
  3. Thun - grindelwald (it is included or no for the train using global pass?)
  4. Thun - Zermatt (it is included or no for the train using global pass?)
  5. Thun - interlaken (it is included or no for the train using global pass?)
  6. It is have any tips for the glacier or panoramic train for free or included the global pass?
  7. and last, what is not included global pass in switzerland?

1/ You can avoid the TGV and Eurostar and travel only with Intercity or regional trains. No problem from Amsterdam to Brussels but it will take more time from Brussels to Paris (> 4h30). It is certainly better to take the TGV or Eurostar for this leg (1h30).

2/ It is included, but you have to pay seat reservations it you take the TGV (see 1/). It is cheaper to travel only from Paris to Strasbourg with the TGV.

6/ On these lines, you have regional trains without mandatory reservations and surcharges.

There will be a new Intercity service operating between Paris-Brussels next year. I don’t think it’s been confirmed whether or not the Eurail pass will be accepted on this train, but keep an eye on that.

All of the journeys you mention in Switzerland are included. You can check on the map linked above, or you can check on the Eurail trip planner.

 You must have a reservation on the Glacier Express, but you can take other trains along the same route without reservation.

It has been confirmed that passes won't be valid.
