Getting the following message when trying to book train from interlaken to wengen, is eurail global pass not covered to travel between lauterbrunnen and wengen. Am i missing something ? appreciate your help.

Yes, the pass is valid. This is a bug in the Rail Planner. You can add this journey manually.
