Hi, I want to travel from Paris to Italy and then around Italy. Do I need to buy a Global Eurail or Italy one country pass?

Hi,
you need a Global pass.
A one country pass is only valid in one country, in this case Italy.
If you make only one trip than also a normal ticket via the train company is possible and maybe cost less.
